Time for Your Pets

You know that the older you get, the faster time seems to run? That’s because the more you live, the more each moment is a smaller proportion of your life. For example, when you were 5, a year was almost 25% of your life up to that point; that’s a lot – almost eternity! But when you’re 35, a year is only around 3% of your life. Doesn’t seem so long anymore, does it? No wonder everything seems to whiz by so fast. Now imagine your dog or cat. They’ll probably live at most 15 years. This means that time is always going to pass more slowly for them than for you.

Each day is going to be as long for them as it was for you when you were a child. Though it probably doesn’t seem like a big deal putting off for a couple of hours taking your dog for a walk or giving your cat her dinner, it could feel like an eternity to them. Remember what it was like for you in school, staring at the clock, counting down the minutes, waiting for the class to end? That’s your dog or cat waiting for you to get home.

If you can’t make it in time, then send someone who can. If you’re in Vancouver, that could be a personal assistant from Leave It To Me. The important thing is for someone to be at home at the right time for your pet. Don’t keep them waiting.
