Things to Keep in Mind This Season

We know that as you Vancouverites prepare for the winter holidays, you have a lot of things to think about, but please keep the following in mind:

  1. The holidays should be a time when family comes together. Think if there’s a family member you haven’t been in close contact with recently, perhaps they don’t live near Vancouver or maybe you’ve become estranged from them. Call that person up or send them a holiday card. Show the person that you still care.
  2. The end of the year should also be a time for reflection. It’s good to step back, take a breath, and think things over. Think about what’s happened in your life over the last year, the choices you’ve made, the responsibilities you’ve taken, where your life is heading. Ask yourself what your goals are and whether changes should be made.
  3. Remember that the holidays are supposed to be relaxing and fun. If you’re feeling over-worked or stressed over them, you’re probably doing something wrong. See if you’ve taken-on too many responsibilities or if there’s something one of your family or friends could help you with.

If you keep these things in mind, the holiday will be more rewarding, recharging your batteries and getting you ready for the next exciting year.
